The Story of Pollen

No wonder it’s called Nature’s Perfect Food

QBee’s Pollen Drops are unique among candies. Developed as a nutritional supplement, they not only taste great, but contain many nutritious elements that your body needs.

Pollen Drops are made with fresh from the hive honey, creamery butter, dry milk, algin, and vanilla. Stretched to give them a fine texture, Pollen Drops are a taffy. To preserve the nutrients in the pollen, pollen is added only after the candy has been cooled, stretching it into the candy giving it that attractive golden color.

Our bee pollen is never heated over 110 degrees, leaving the nutrients for you to enjoy.

Nutritional Analysis of Pollen Drops:

Average weight per piece 6 gr.; calories 25; protein .10 gr.; carbohydrates 5.5 gr.; fat .3 gr.; bee pollen 400 mg; sodium .23mg.

POLLEN … the Natural Food with Enzymes, Antioxidants and Vitamins

Honey bee pollen is collected by bees as they forage from flower to flower. Placing the pollen in baskets located on their back legs, the honey bees add digestive enzymes and nectar to the pollen, making bee pollen a readily digestible and highly nutritious food for humans. The sugars in bee pollen are predigested; converting easily to glycogen in the bloodstream, providing the necessary energy to feed muscles quickly.

Bee pollen is a natural food, NOT a drug. A storehouse of protein, vitamins, and minerals, honey bee pollen contains every known vitamin, all of the minerals, proteins (amino acids), enzymes and coenzymes, fatty acids, and carbohydrates that our bodies need to sustain life, and all in just the right proportions.

About 35% of the content of pollen is protein, half of which is in the form of readily assimilated free amino acids. 45% is carbohydrates, 5% fatty acids, 3% minerals and mineral carrying elements and 3-4% is moisture. Bee pollen also contains lecithin, beta-carotene and selenium. This unique combination of elements makes bee pollen an excellent source of anti-oxidants.
